Oh, Mishima and Daisetsu

How do they feel about the Japan destructing herself today with no sense of honour and no purpose of life. We have the frame of nation, but no Kokutai with sovereignty. Mishima tried to revive the Kokutai with Tennoh. But he didn't know he himself had an inconsistency in his thought. That is, he tried to utilize Tennoh as mere symbol of his ideal Kokutai, not to establish him as the very essence of the identity of Japan. And he tried find the very identity of Japan in Samurai way of life. He says as follows:

spritually I wanted to revive the Samurai spirit through it, because I don't want to revive Harakiri itself, but throught the vision, such a very strong vision of Harakiri, I wanted to stimulate and inspire younger people, and through such a stimulation I wanted to revive some old traditional sense of honour, or sense of very strong resposiblility, and such a sense of death in honour, that's my porpose...Harakiri is very positive, they proud of the way of death, I think it is very deffent from the western concept of suicide, becase western concept of suicide is alway defeated self mostly, but Harakiri sometimes makes you win...

On the other hand, Daisetsu revived Zen in western culture in English, in which he showed the very pure way of human life without hindrance or contamination with the human intellect or knowledge. Zen is beyond the human intellect and its life is in/from the very intuition of the original human unconsciousness. They call it as "what the you are being before your father and mother born"*1. Of course, we can not understand such Me by our mind. It is beyond the Tree of Knowledge. The answer is in our very deep sphere of our soul or spirit. You find it by youself!, they say. Zen is very eastern way of life even without God. Then Daisetsu confessed, "I understand Jesus is a man of enlightment but I don't know what the Holy Spirit is." This confession is the essential mark of the defference of Christian and Zenist.

But, someday, I want to visit...

"Vanity of vanities," says the Preacher;"Vanity of vanities, all is vanity."-Ecc 1:2

This nation has been vaporizing into this vanity by herself and in very near future it will be....

...today I wanna go to see the sea of Shonan. After pool and sauna, I'm going to driving there...Ok, have a happy day!

*1:It is "如",translated "as-it-is-ness" by Daistsu. In original language "TaTaTah". "The more we speak about it, the more we lose life/essence in it", Daisetsu says.
