アーサー・ケストラーの『第十三氏族』以来、いわゆる偽ユダヤ人説が脚光を浴び、今のイスラエルも偽物だとする向きがいわゆるクリスチャンの間にもある。で、今回、遺伝学的に彼らの素性が明らかにされた模様だ。アシュケナジーが完全な偽物とは言えないようであり、アブラハムの子孫としてのユダヤ人は血統的にも保持されていると言えるようだ。極私的な立場は、仮に今のイスラエルがイルミナティとか、偽ユダヤ人とかに作られたにしろ、アブラハムの血統的子孫がいることは否定できなかろうとするものだが、一応これに根拠が得られた形だ。

The findings support the historical record of Middle Eastern Jews settling in North Africa during Classical Antiquity, proselytizing and marrying local populations, and, in the process, forming distinct populations that stayed largely intact for more than 2,000 years.
