先にアメリカの報告を紹介したが、ヨーロッパではこの耐性菌との格闘に敗北しつつあるとのこと。その名も"New Delhi"あるいは"NDM-1 superbug"。（→前に少し書いております）

追記：NDM1は抗生物質の共通構造であるβ-ラクタムを加水分解する酵素を持っているため、この系の抗生物質に対して耐性を有する。β-ラクタムは次のペニシリンやメチシリンの正方形の結合部位を言う。グリグリして見つけてください。
