週末の一日、仕事から解放されて、まったりと楽しめる金曜日。いつもはiTunesのJazz Streamを聴いているが、本日はちょっと懐メロを・・・。
この人、私と激似だと学生諸君・・・
まずはCarpenters、主イエスとも大いに関係あるわけで、この曲"Only Yesterday"は私が浪人時代によく聞いていたもの。Calenが拒食症で死亡したのはショックだった。

今の緩慢に死に直面するわがニッポンにとっては、"Tomorrow may be even darker than today..."、まさにま逆な歌詞ではある。しかしクリスチャンにとってはこの地上の労苦から解かれて、真の自由へと旅立つ日が待ち構えている。時代が暗くなるほどに、ますます希望が湧き上るのが不思議だ。たとえ5月21日が空振りでも、ますますその携え上げに向かって希望が湧いてくるのだ。ちなみに救世軍の山谷少佐は、21日過ぎたらスリッパでキャンピングの頭を叩きに行くと言われているが・・・
(私も同行しようか知らん)その意味で、この曲の歌詞は励まされる。

そしてGearge Michaelの"Careless Whisper"。彼は若い頃は単なるイケメンでイマイチだったが、年齢を重ねて実に渋くなっている。この曲も私のカラオケの定番。わが永遠のライバルである郷ひろみのカバーでも有名。恋愛のあの臆病になる気持ち、後悔、複雑な感情・・・
こちらのヴァージョンはテクノ・ディスコ調、なかなか良い。

こちらはAmaging・・・シブイ
そしてこちらは今のニッポンを象徴するJALを舞台としてドラマのending。「まつもとっ〜」が懐かしい。ガンバレばできる、最後までヤル・・・。そしてJALは崩壊し、今JAPANも崩壊せんとしている。すでにドリョクやガンバリは通じないことにいつ気がつくのだろうか。死に行く国家。私たちは今、世界を毒する汚れの漏出の止まらない竜の断末魔を目撃しているのだ。
